❄I wrote a recount this week about my birthday which was on Sunday ( Mother's day!)❄
๐ธHope you enjoy it!๐ธ
My Amazing Birthday.
“Are we there yet?” India nagged as we sped off to Auckland. “India, we just started driving” I replied.
We were driving off to Auckland to celebrate my birthday which would be tomorrow. “ Can I have another egg-sandwich?” Imogen asked. I sighed, I never knew that this drive would be so chaotic!
Finally we stopped off at Warkworth to stretch our legs. I ran around the car-park while India and Imogen went to the toilet. We all hopped back into the car. “ On the road again!” we all sang as we drove out of the car park.
“ I’m hungry!” Imogen screeched. Dad sighed “We’ll get some food on the way” he said.
I whooped as we drove into the car park. I leaped out of the car. We are finally here!
As we hopped into line, India wailed“ It is so busy, we will never get there!”. “Don’t worry India, we will get there” I reassured her. Finally we could go. “I am so excited!” Imogen said to herself.
We jogged to the next room. I saw a life-like room where an expedition trip probably stayed in.
Next we saw some penguins. “ They are so cute!” India squealed while getting her camera out. When India finished taking photos we saw some stingrays and a Megalodon's jaw! We also saw some seahorses. Finally we got to the gift shop. India bought me a stingray with her money and a little blue penguin for herself. Mum got Imogen a toy penguin as well. I was as happy as a child getting it’s Christmas presents!
Next we traveled to our hotel. It was so fancy. It even had it’s own fish pool. We even got our own room included with a tv! We all hopped into bed. India and Imogen had decided to have a celebration pillow fight. I decided to join in too. By then it was about 9:00 so Mum came in and scolded “ You should be in bed now!” so we all quickly dived into bed and turned off the light. “ Good night India” I said drowsily as I fell into a deep sleep.
“ Wake up, wake up!” Imogen squealed. I quickly leaped out of bed with India at my heels.
I grabbed my mother’s day card for mum as I ran up the stairs to mum’s and dad’s bedroom. Mum was already awake with Imogen at the end of her bed. “Happy mother’s day” I shrieked as I handed the card to mum. As she read it her mouth smiled like the sun. “ Time for your presents” dad exclaimed. I smiled as the first one was handed to me. It was from India. I ripped it open like a tiger eating it’s meat. “A note pad, a sketchbook and a pack of pens, thank you so much!” I said to India.
I also got: two pictures, a huge lego set, a grey rabbit bag, and a toy horse stable and float.
Best birthday ever!
